MINDFULNESS

Thoughts roll like waves

Crashing against the shores of my mind

Then like a flash! from a photo bulb, I return

To the voice telling me to focus

Urging me to finish this meditation

When all I want to do

Is hidden within me

Emotions overwhelming

Still trying to find the better life

Waiting for me

If I can only focus...
