THE BREATH THAT KILLS

Faceless eyes that stare
Still protecting their distance
And I do know why
Don't come too close, their eyes say
It could be the breath that kills

What a way to live
Awaiting the last moment
Trapped in a pattern
Clinging to fear and despair
With no hope for the future
